DHEYTON PL is an amphoteric surfactant, which is an aqueous solution based on lauramine oxide, formulated for use in the detergent and cleaning industry. It appears as a clear, yellowish liquid at room temperature and may take on a dark yellow color during storage.

Solubility Properties
DHEYTON PL (10% at 23 °C) forms a clear solution in distilled water, potable water, 5% caustic soda, 5% hydrochloric acid, and 5% salt solution. It is opaquely soluble in ethanol and isopropanol, forming a homogeneous emulsion, while it is insoluble in solvent naphtha and aromatic hydrocarbons.
Storage and Handling Conditions
The product must be stored in indoor and dry places. The storage temperature should not be allowed to drop significantly below 20 °C. The product has a tendency to form sediment and returns to a clear liquid state at approximately 40 °C. Liquids that solidify or show signs of sedimentation should be heated to a maximum of 50 °C and homogenized before processing. Internal electrical heating elements must not be used for heating. If stored in heated tanks (35 - 45 °C), it should be blanketed with nitrogen to prevent contact with air. It has a shelf life of at least 12 months in its original packaging when properly stored.
