VINNAPAS® 4240 N 25/1 (Workability + Flexibility)
VINNAPAS® 4240 N is a versatile and redispersible polymer powder specially formulated for dry-mix mortars. It is an ideal solution, especially for External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS/Mantolama) and wall applications. This product, a highly flexible copolymer of vinyl acetate and ethylene, belongs to the VINNAPAS® N product class; this means it has a neutral effect on rheology and imparts essential adhesion and flexibility properties to mortars.
Key Features and Benefits
- High Flexibility: Thanks to its high ethylene content, the resin has a soft and flexible structure. The glass transition temperature (Tg) is below the freezing point of water.
- Enhanced Performance: Compounds modified with this product exhibit improved adhesion, flexural strength, deformability, abrasion resistance, and cohesion.
- Workability: Facilitates processing. It has essentially no effect on leveling, thixotropy, and water retention properties, making it ideal for combination with other additives.
- Low Emission: Produced without the addition of organic solvents, plasticizers, and film-forming agents. Contains fine mineral filler as an anti-blocking agent.
Application Areas
VINNAPAS® 4240 N is suitable for the formulation of compounds that provide very good adhesion to inorganic and organic surfaces while also exhibiting good flexibility. Its main application areas include:
- Adhesive and Embedding Mortars
- ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems)
- Wall Applications

Processing and Storage
Processing: For the production of ready-mix dry mortars (such as adhesives and repair mortars), VINNAPAS® 4240 N should be mixed with other dry components in suitable equipment. The temperature should not be allowed to rise excessively during mixing, otherwise, agglomeration may occur due to its thermoplastic properties. The mortar is prepared by adding the recommended amount of water. For manual mixing, it is recommended to let the fresh mortar rest for 5 minutes and then mix it again.
Storage: The product should be protected from moisture and stored in a cool, dry warehouse. Prolonged storage at temperatures above 30 °C, under pressure or humidity, can lead to blocking (agglomeration). The product should be consumed within a maximum of 6 months from the date of receipt.
