B 125 DEFOAMER

B 125 DEFOAMER is a silicone-based defoamer emulsion specifically formulated to control and eliminate foam in water-based systems. Developed particularly for water-based architectural paints, decorative coatings, and plasters, this product delivers high performance during both production and application stages due to its siloxane structure. Its capacity to form an emulsion with water in all proportions facilitates production processes.

Key Features and Advantages

B 125 has an active matter concentration of 12.5% and possesses an environmentally friendly, VOC (Volatile Organic Compound)-free structure. Due to its APEO-free non-ionic structure, it maintains its stability over a wide pH range (2-14) and does not interact with the chemical structure of the system. While providing stability during storage with its long-term foam prevention properties, it optimizes production processes through its rapid dispersion capability. It is effective in providing both instantaneous foam knockdown and persistent foam control.

Usage and Storage Instructions

B 125 can be added at two stages during the paint production process: at the grinding (mill base) stage and at the let-down or finished paint stage. The recommended usage rate is between 0.05% and 0.3% of the total formulation weight. The product can be used as supplied or diluted with water; however, the addition of a biocide is recommended if the diluted product is to be stored for an extended period. The product must be stored between +5°C and +35°C, away from direct sunlight, and in its original packaging. It must be protected from freezing.
