MONO PROPYLENE GLYCOL (MPG) is an industrial grade chemical compound with a minimum purity of 99.5%, produced by the hydrolysis of propylene oxide (PO) with excess water under high temperature and high pressure. Also known as 1,2-Propanediol, this product is a colorless, completely water-soluble, hygroscopic liquid with a characteristic mild glycol odor. It provides reliable performance in industrial applications with its low vapor pressure, medium viscosity, and low toxicity.

Applications

Industrial grade MPG is preferred in specific industrial processes due to its superior solvent and chemical stability properties:

• Flotation Agent: It acts as an effective flotation chemical in mining and ore beneficiation processes.
• Extraction Solvent: It is used as a highly efficient solvent in various industrial separation and purification processes.

Storage and Packaging

To maintain the optimum performance and stability of the product, it is recommended to store it at temperatures below 40°C, away from direct UV (ultraviolet) light sources, and in tightly closed containers. Under these conditions, the shelf life of the product is 1 year.
