Ekvocell EKV-200 25/1HPMCHydroxypropyl MethylcelluloseCement-Based AdhesiveThickening AgentWater Retention AgentConstruction ChemicalsHigh Viscosity HPMC

Ekvocell EKV-200 25/1 is a high-performance cellulose ether based on Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC), specifically formulated to meet the demanding requirements of the construction industry. The product provides excellent working performance by regulating the rheology of the mortar in cement-based applications. Due to its optimized viscosity value between 70,000 and 80,000 mPa.s, it provides superior water retention capacity and slip resistance, particularly in ceramic adhesives, plasters, and repair mortars.

Key Properties and Advantages

Acting as a binder and thickening agent in formulations, this product offers the following technical advantages:

  • High Water Retention: It prevents the premature evaporation or absorption of water within the mortar, ensuring complete curing of the cement and minimizing crack formation.
  • Strong Adhesion: It strengthens the bond between the application surface and the material, assisting in achieving long-lasting and durable results.
  • Ideal Consistency and Workability: It facilitates the trowel application of the mortar and supports the maintenance of the desired form without sagging or slumping.
  • No Delayed Solubility: It integrates into the system rapidly and effectively.

Application Areas

Ekvocell EKV-200 25/1 is primarily designed for use in cement-based systems:

  • Tile and ceramic adhesives
  • Cement-based plasters and putties
  • Decorative mortars
  • Thermal insulation board adhesives and plasters
